And I absolutely love it.
The theme of this summer collection is a beautiful summer sunset. The name ‘Sol Searching’ matches the collection of pinks, oranges and yellows perfectly.

Sol Searching: Essie Summer 2024 Nail Polish Collection
As usual, Essie has brought us six new colors this summer, and they are beautiful! But considering the top trends of the summer, they’re also unexpected and I truly love them all.
The new colors are called:

- Breathe in, breathe out
- Sol searching
- Glisten to your heart
- It’s all bright
- Meditation haven
This collection is showing off the beautiful colors of summer sunsets, tropical drinks and looking inward. Here’s what Essie has to say about the collection:

You can really get the feeling that they’re taking this hot girl summer and inspiring us all to look inwards. I’m here for it! Let’s explore each of these shades a bit more.

Imagine sun-kissed skin, a coconut latte and warm pink nails.
This color is meant to bring us serenity (see what they did there?) I love that this pink is so different from the pinks they released in their spring collection. It’s no secret that Essie loves pink – they’re always giving us cute, bright and beautiful shades, but this color really speaks of summer.
I also feel like this color would be beautiful for a ‘Saltburn’ summer. You can just see Venetia spending her summer with chipped sun-renity nails.
breathe in, breathe out
They call it a ‘dusty purple’ but it definitely has warm undertones bringing out the ‘pink’ more.
It’s true, Essie really does love pink. They always release between 2-3 shades in each collection, especially spring and summer. I personally love how muted this pink is. It reminds me of the color the sky turns just after the sun sets, when the colors are all cooling down and night is falling…

Go on some soul searching with Essie this summer, with their new terracotta.
I love that this color is the shade of sunsets. It’s so warm and summer-filled. Terracotta was the pantone color of the year, so it’s no wonder that Essie has included this beautiful shade in their summer collection.
glisten to your heart
Your nails will shine all summer long with this light gold sparkle.
I love how light this gold is, with hints of warm yellow that make this color perfect for summer. All you need is two coats of glisten to your heart and your nails will shine like the sunset.
it’s all bright
This shimmer is more silver tinted than gold, and feels like Essie’s very own ‘quiet luxury manicure’ color.
It has a beautiful but understated shimmer that I love. You’ll be able to do a lot with this color, from keeping it simple to adding shimmer and sparkle to your manicure.
meditation haven
It’s a soft yellow that’s not overpowering but is still colorful.
You can tell that it’s a shade created for summer, because it goes well with warm tones and bright colors.
Essie wants us looking inward this summer, with a collection centered around meditation and soul searching – while perfectly matching the shades of summer that we know and love. I’ve always been a big fan of yellow, and I love this shade.

Summer Aura Gradient Nails
Over on Pinterest, I’ve been seeing a lot of ‘gradient’ nails and manicures. This Essie collection would be perfect for creating your own summer aura gradient – that would look like the beautiful sunset on that beach in Mexico that you love.

Wavy French Tips
I’ve been seeing more bold nails on Pinterest this summer, in fact one of the trending topics this month is ‘funky bold nails’ and I think you can match that trend in a really fun way with this collection. I would personally choose to have terracotta french tips and yellow or pink ‘waves’ over the top. For inspiration, see this post!
OR pink and yellow swirly nails like these. You could easily recreate this look with the dark pink and soft yellow of this Essie summer collection.
Summer Flowers
Along with wavy and funky nails, I’ve been seeing a lot of flowers on Pinterest as well. (I’m a Pinterest girlie if you haven’t noticed…) What I love about these particular flowers is that they feel ‘funky’ as well! You could definitely make them look more ‘summery’ with this Essie collection.
