In this post, I’m diving into Quiet Luxury Nail Colors and Designs for 2024!
Over the past year, I’ve been working on a new series to help you build a classic wardrobe. For me, a classic wardrobe is filled with pieces that are, of course, classics. But they’re classics that are also timeless and fit perfectly with the growing trend of ‘Quiet Luxury’.

While this trend feels new, the only thing that’s ‘new’ about it is the name. People have been searching for ways to make their wardrobe and style more classically chic and effortlessly luxurious for years.
I read somewhere that ‘Quiet Luxury’ is a way to whisper “I’m rich” instead of screaming it. I saw Bustle refer to this trend as ‘Stealth Wealth’ which I think also describes it quite nicely.
And now, Quiet Luxury is popping up for our manicures as well. I’m a girlie who always has her nails done, whether with a home manicure or a visit to the salon, and I’m always sharing the hottest nail colors and trends with you!
Today, I’m going to dive deeper into quiet luxury nail colors and styles to help you plan the perfect manicure. But first, what is quiet luxury? And why is it quickly becoming one of the loudest trends of this year?
What is Quiet Luxury?
As you probably already know, fashion is heavily influenced by pop culture. In other words… movies and TV tend to greatly influence what we wear. So while there’s BarbieCore (from the obvious) and RomCom Core (from the 90’s RomComs we know and love), there’s also Quiet Luxury from shows like Succession and Saltburn.
Shows where the characters are clearly well dressed in expensive brands, but the looks tend to be understated. In other words, you whisper “I’m rich”, instead of screaming it.
Around here, I think of Quiet Luxury as minimalism and thoughtful shopping – very similar to the Classic Capsule Wardrobe that I’m helping you build.
You want to be thoughtful about each item you buy, and buy less – so that you can buy better. You don’t need to break the bank for each item, this trend is all about shopping slower and more sustainably.

How Does Quiet Luxury Translate to Your Manicure?
Bring a simplistic and clean aesthetic to your nail routine. Think subtle shimmers, light pinks, mauves, nudes and classic french tips. You want your nails to enhance your look, instead of making your look all about your nails.
That can mean when you look back at your photos 20 years from now, your nails will still look chic and timeless.
The quality of your manicure is also important. If you want a quiet luxury manicure, you should probably book a structured manicure using a builder gel in a light color. This might cost $100, but it should last for a month – as opposed to a $20 polish manicure that doesn’t last a week.
Just look at Margot Robbie’s manicure from the Met Gala, that is a timeless look that won’t feel dated even 20+ years from now.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to break the bank! With a little practice at home manicures, you could do your own quiet luxury nails from home. Let’s jump into the colors, pressons and styles for a quiet luxury manicure.
Colors & Styles for Quiet Luxury Manicures
Soft Pink
I’ll kick it off with a classic. One of the classic quiet luxury manicures will always be soft pinks. The key here is to pick a pink that’s almost nude or white. Stray away from pinks that are too Barbie – that’s a whole other trend I could get into.
Essie Fairy Tailor
I love Fairy Tailor because it’s a very light shade that adds a natural and quiet pop to your look.

It’s not too pink, bringing a nice nude feeling with a bit more warmth.
For Essie, I wanted to choose a shade from their ‘longwear’ collection. The goal is to create a manicure that’s going to last – and longwear shades from Essie usually do. You’ll see them throughout this post, they’re a great home manicure option.
OPI Rosy Future
Rosy Future is a little bit more ‘pink’ but it’s still muted enough that it won’t overpower your look.

I love the simple ‘shimmer’ that you get with a couple of coats. With a pink like this, I recommend a shorter round or almond shape.
Neutrals
Neutrals are always a good idea because a ‘natural’ looking but manicured nail will also say ‘understated’ or in our case here: quiet luxury nails. ‘Naked Nails’ is a big trend around quiet luxury, and it’s essentially where your nails are groomed beautifully, but look ‘naked’. Let’s jump into some lovely nudes for your naked nails trend.
Essie Lace is More
I’m an Essie girl through and through (here’s the proof!), so I had to find you the perfect neutral from them as well.

Once again, I’ve gone with one of their ‘longwear’ shades Lace is More. This color is perfect for marrying the ‘Naked Nails’ and ‘Quiet Luxury’ trends together.
OPI Put it in Neutral
The name says it all for this bestselling shade.

It’s subtle and sophisticated. Just warm enough and it looks beautiful with all skin tones and sheer enough for a quiet look.
Browns & Blacks
I’ve talked a lot about light pinks, blushes and neutrals – but can dark colors achieve the quiet luxury look that we’re going for in this trend? Definitely. Black is always a classic while dark brown is an upcoming favorite. I saw all shades of brown trending throughout last year – and it’s such a gorgeous look, I know it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
CND Fedora
I’ve found the perfect deep, rich brown that’s sure to make you feel luxuriously understated.

What I love about brown is the richness of the color and how it (surprisingly) goes with everything. You’ll be impressed with the quality of this polish as well.
Essie Odd Squad
Odd Squad is part of Essie’s new collection for 2024 – and you can tell right away that they know brown is going to continue trending this year.

This deep brown is similar to the CND – but a bit cooler and richer, so it’s definitely going to give you a completely different look.
Essie Climbing High
Every girl needs a high quality black nail polish in their bathroom cabinet.

Black is a classic nail color and I love this matte black from Essie. Quiet luxury is all about those classics – so why mess with the best?
Quiet Shimmers
When you’re picking a shimmer or glitter based nail polish for your quiet luxury manicure, you have to be careful. You don’t want too much sparkle and shine, that will pull away from the ‘quiet’ aspect and go into full-on “LOOK AT ME!” nails. However, I’ve found some shimmers that are understated beauties.
Reflection Perfection
Reflection Perfection from Essie is a great balance.

It’s a light color with just enough shimmer to shine! I love the pink and shimmering undertones which compliment every skin tone. But what I really love about this color is that it’s cooler.
Mystic Moonstone & Moonbeam
Cirque Colors has two shimmers that work well for this trend – Mystic Moonstone and Moonbeam.

The difference between these two is the silver or gold undertones, which at the end of the day, is up to your personal preference! I personally love the gold undertones of Moonbeam and there’s just enough shimmer in both for a perfect finish.
Quiet Luxury Manicure Press On Sets
Press on nails are having their main character moment! More and more brands are coming out with easy to use, high quality press ons that are changing the home manicure game. Here are just a few of my favorites (that I think work perfectly for the ‘quiet luxury’ trend.
Ballerina Square
These nails from Amazon are simple, easy to use and gorgeous.

It’s such a natural, nice shade and the shape is perfect. They can even be reapplied up to 6 times, which means if you take care of your nails – these will last you several manicures!
Natural Almond
If you want something completely natural looking but lasting and reliable, then get these press ons!

The almond shape and color are both perfect for this trend. These nails are well rated and come in a variety of shapes and lengths, but I love the natural, short almond!
Mean Girls x Static Nails So Fetch
Mean Girls are the ultimate nail and fashion inspo from my teenage years! So you better believe I loved finding this press on set.

It’s a classic french tips manicure that will never go out of style.
Quiet Luxury Manicure Styles
When you’re picking a shimmer or glitter based nail polish for a quiet luxury manicure, you have to be careful. You don’t want too much sparkle and shine, that will pull away from the ‘quiet’ aspect and go into full-on “LOOK AT ME!” nails. However, I’ve found some shimmers that are understated beauties.
Tortoiseshell French Tips
The inspiration for this luxurious manicure is from Kendall Jenner herself (if anyone knows quiet luxury, it’s Kendall) And I’ve found an incredible TikToker who’s recreated this iconic look from home. Follow her steps for the ultimate quiet luxury manicure from one of my favorite ‘it’ girls here.
French Manicure
One look that will always stay classic is the mini french manicure. If you’re heading to the salon soon and want to simplify your nail routine with this quiet luxury trend – show your nail artist this picture. It’s simple, beautiful and quietly whispers, “I’m rich.”
The Supermodel Manicure
Last up is what they call the “Supermodel” manicure. What I love about this look is that it’s sheer and feminine. This color almost takes the ‘Naked Nails’ trend that I shared above – just a bit further.
