Today I’m sharing 8 Winter Nail Colors from Essie. Essie has a way of always developing the most high-quality and beautiful nail colors. From rich jewel tones to classic colors like deep black and bright white, I’m definitely an Essie girl!
This year, they’ve pulled together the best trends of 2023 matched with their color predictions for 2024 to bring you a winter collection to swoon over. This winter, let’s explore the new Essie winter collections for your next home manicure.

Winter Nail Colors & Designs Inspired by Essie’s New Collection
This winter, Essie has released a new collection called “Wrapped in Luxury.” The collection includes 6 new shades that they say are, “perfect for an evening of glitz and glamour this holiday season.” Let’s dive into the full collection. Keep reading until the end because I’ve added a couple of classic colors for winter (that never go out of style!)
Head to Toe Mistletoe
Head to Mistletoe is a gorgeous light sage green with plenty of sparkle.

What I love about this color for winter is how soft and elegant it looks. The sparkle makes it perfect for the holidays and the fact that it’s such a soft green means it blends well into the new year. This color pairs perfectly with bright red, soft white, silver, and even gold!
Sleigh It
Sleigh It sticks with the themes of neutrals and browns that we saw pop up in fall collections.

This slightly darker color pairs perfectly with bright white and would make a gorgeous snowflake-themed manicure.
Start by painting on two layers of ‘Sleigh It’ and then pull out bright white and attempt to paint snowflakes across each of your nails. Make sure to finish with Essie’s ‘Gel-Setter’ top coat. This makes the perfect winter manicure.
Wrapped in Luxury
Red has been having its main character moment this year, and ‘Wrapped in Luxury’ continues that trend, while bringing us a deeper red for winter.

This is a very rich color from Essie and would pair beautifully with a cream-colored white.
If you’d like to try your hand at nail art, you could paint on two coats of Wrapped in Luxury and then paint one nail on each hand to look like a wrapped present. For inspiration, click here.
Not So Silent Night
Last month I shared the best nail colors and trends for Christmas, and in that post, I included plenty of metallic shades!

What I love about Not So Silent Night is the fact that it’s more bronze than gold. In my opinion, this color elevates a gold manicure to something even more spectacular.
You’re sure to get compliments all season long with this color on your nails. Plus, as someone who wears a lot of black and white – this bronze pairs perfectly.
Carols & Caviar
Mix it up completely with this darker blue/gray shade.

I haven’t seen a color quite like this at all this year, and I love how cool and different it is. If you typically lean towards black for your manicure, I would encourage you to try Carols & Caviar instead.
Midnight Delight
Fall of 2023 was all about browns and neutrals – and it looks like that trend is here to stay a little bit longer!

End the year in a classic with Midnight Delight. A rich, beautiful brown that’s unlike any trend we’ve seen before.
Essie released several new brown shades for fall, but this rich cognac is so far my favorite.
Licorice
Licorice from Essie is one color that I always have in my arsenal.

Black is always in fashion. I love having my nails painted black. Black nails go with every outfit and they always look classy and classic. If you need a reliable and high-quality black, pick up Licorice today.
Marshmallow
Another classic nail color for winter is, of course, white.

Or in our case, Marshmallow. I love white nails for the same reason I love black nails. They’re classy and classic. White nails go with everything and they look clean and sophisticated. If you want a classic manicure this winter, use Marshmallow from Essie.
Winter Nail Art Trends from Essie
Besides sharing new colors of the season, Essie has also released some fun (and fairly simple) nail art trends to try!
Northern Lights Nail Art
My personal favorite is their Northern Lights nail art. As someone who’s always dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights, this manicure just screams winter!
For this design, you’ll need just three colors and a striping brush. If you’ve been wanting to experiment with more nail art, this is a great place to start.

Winter Gradient
The other nail art trend that’s a classic for this time of year is their winter gradient. Sparkly and dark, this manicure is a beautiful celebration of New Year’s. Once again, you just need three colors and a sponge – but this could definitely be repeated with any colors that you love!
