But no pool party is complete without the essentials. So whether you have a swimming pool in your backyard or your apartment building, I’ll make sure you have everything you need to be prepared this summer.

It’s obvious that the first pool party essential you could possibly need is the perfect bathing suit.
Don’t worry, because I’ve found it for you. This swimsuit is so flattering, it’ll look good on everyone! It has multiple ways that you can style the neckline, from a halter top to traditional v-neck. Traditional sunscreens (those you’d use all over) are going to clog your pores and cause breakouts all summer. For your face you need something light weight and with good coverage. That’s why I always go with a mineral tinted and ultra light face sunscreen.
This sunscreen also has a gorgeous tint that gives you a glow without the need for a light coverage foundation.

Celine Sunglasses
There are two things I always believe in investing in: purses and sunglasses. A good pair of sunglasses can be a lifetime investment.
I’ve had my pair of Celine Sunglasses for well over 5 years now (so when you think about cost per wear… the investment is well worth the cost!).

Now, you might be thinking, “Oh they’ll have towels there…” but having your own beach towel is essential for a pool party. I always bring my own towel to a pool party or beach.
I’ve never been a fan of the musty smell that beach towels get when they’re used and washed too much, plus they lose all their softness. But when you bring your own, you always know which chair is yours, and you know you’re sitting on a beach towel that’s going to be soft and fresh.

Lack of Colour hats are my favorite in the world. They have so many fun styles and they’re amazingly high quality.

Lala 500ml Water Bottle
It’s vital that you stay hydrated at a summer pool party. It’s way too easy to start drinking cocktails or sangria and completely forget about water – that’s why I always bring my own bottle.
I personally recommend a glass water bottle – and this brk bottle is also wrapped in silicone, which just means it’s cute, easy to hold onto and less likely to break. It’s 500ml, which means you just need to drink a couple of these while you’re out in the sun to avoid heat stroke or a hangover the next day. I also love to bring along my favorite electrolyte packets by LMNT. The watermelon salt is my absolute favorite and it adds those much needed minerals back into your water.
Drinking water (and bringing your own reusable water bottle) is definitely a pool party essential!
Portable Bluetooth Mini Speaker
What better way to set the mood at a pool party than with a portable (and waterproof!) bluetooth speaker? You’ll be everybody’s best friend when you show up with the music.
Wonderboom is a great brand, it’s small enough that you can easily throw it into your bag, but it’s a surprisingly loud speaker for its size.
Inflatable Pineapple Pool Float
No matter what the theme of your pool party is, inflatable pool floaties are essential! And you can’t go wrong with a pineapple. It screams summer, and it matches with so many themes.
What I love about this float is that it’s easy to inflate and deflate, which means you can be in the pool in no time, without all the hassle of traditional floats that take forever to inflate. It also has a thick material which means it’ll last the summer (if you’ve ever bought a bad inflatable pool float before – you know how important this is!)
